The Fine Print

**If you were on the start list for 2025, you’re eligible for a 50% refund up to June 10th, 2026.

For everyone else, if you registered but cannot attend, contact us by January 1st, 2026 for a 75% refund and between January 2nd and June 10th, 2026 for a 50% refund.

No refunds after June 10th, 2026.

In the event of cancellation of the event for reasons including, but not limited to, weather, forest fires, acts of nature, war, strikes or other circumstances, Nova Scotia Trail Running will provide the following 3 options:

  1. Automatic deferral to the following year.
  2. A partial refund of your entry fee, calculated by Nova Scotia Trail Running, accounting for factors such as incurred event expenses.
  3. You can sell your spot.

Are you registered to run but can’t because of injury/illness/training issues/life in general? If you can volunteer on race weekend 2025 for 8 hours, we will defer your entry to the following year!

Since the 2025 Capes 100 was cancelled, we are allowing registrants to sell their spot for 2026 up to August 15th, 2025.

Transfers/selling your spot are not allowed after August 15th, 2025.

After August 15th, we’re back to the normal refund policy and no transfer policy.

Note 1: if you register for the 100 miler or 87k and want to drop down to a shorter distance, you will not get the difference in the registration fee back. Sorry.

Note 2: if you register for the 46k and want to ‘bump up’ to a longer distance, it can be done up to August 8th, 2025 (just send an e-transfer for the difference).
